    its been a while
I'll try to make this brief as I have work in the morning. I've been sick, tired, full of glee, loss of glee, saddened, angered, been cheerful and many other descriptive terms that I'm sure I could come up with if it wasnt 130 am. School finished last quarter (yay) after I took a major beating most of the rounds of that bout, but I came back triumphantly and seem to win like Rocky did in #2 (see the movie if you dont know what I'm talking about). After watching relentlessly for many many months to catch up with Jack Bauer on the awesome of awesome show, 24, I was able to watch, all caught up, the season premiere of the show. (it was great! In Jack we Trust!) Was sick during the holidays but it was still ok, tho new years eve to the new year was very hard cause I was quite ill... The girl and I, in looking for more stuff to do together, decided to be ill together, how cute.

Holidays went well, enjoyed them despite being ill, had a great tree (return of bondage tree, pics will be posted in the future). Now we are on the quick stretch to Ground Hogs Day to see if winter will go on longer, despite it being 85 degrees today. (fuck social commentary, I must talk about the weather). And now the fun stuff.

School started today with winds that would equal a small hurricane, was ok, got there early, ran a few educational errands and saw that if I play my cards right, I am done by the end of 2009 with my undergrad stuff. Though I'm looking into medical school still and despite possibly finishing school in december, I may still have a way to go before I get to a higher level of education... Hopefully will be all worth it. Regrets come to mind from the stuff I did and did not do while I was a community college alumnus.

So much for being brief. I'm going to bed, Take care, Be well, be safe, Good night and God Bless

    Jack

I'm Missing some teeth... Any seen them?
November 24th, 2008, The lives of my wisdom teeth were pronounced dead at the scene... tho I wasn't consciousness to say goodbye. My dad showed up, leaving work early to be with me there when I got out.... needless to say I was quite scared... Got through it and experienced the whole thing about being high from drugs... Medically Huffing Nitrous Oxide.... Makes you feel drunk in like a minute. Time slows down, the music playing in the background was like the tape's batteries were going dead. Then to my horrors they took away the gas, I came out of it to be fully conscious while they attempt to find a vein... I was poked at list 12 times, tho it could have been more. Finally tho I woke up and it was down, my mouth was swollen, lower lip and tongue were numb and the dentist bought me a smoothie from Juice and Java. Its quite a challenge to eat, or sip something or even drink something when you dont have sense of feeling or control of your lower lip... Weird... The pain isnt as bad as it as on saturday of last week... it was just bad then cause of the wisdom tooth infection. So I think I'm through the woods finally... Hopefully my mouth will be close to the top of its game by turkey day. Anywhoo... Thanks for everyones kind words and help to get me through this!

Lets Set Sail with the Dark Knight Dragoon (borrowed from www.PodcastPirates.com)
    Captain's Blog

There comes a time in every person’s life where he has to buck up, lift his chin high into the air and hope and pray that his childhood hero will not go blindly into the night and fall off the deck of his boat as a coward, but come out shooting to win the prize, to save the day! That my friends is the what went through my mind as I entered the theater to see the long awaited movie, The Dark Knight. The First Batman from 1989, directed by Tim Burton, was monumentally great. Through the stars: Michael, and the very diabolical Jack Nicholson, we relived all of our childhood comic book moments. Keaton as the suave Bruce wayne by day and daring do-gooder Batman by night, we saw a new era f action adventure and comic book remakery (yes, I am willing to make up words). Unfortunately every Batman movie after that got exponentially worse and worse as they came (except for the sexy Michelle Pfeiffer as the whip wielding Catwoman). So when Christopher said he would be remaking the Batman Franchise as a new, all I could do was cringe, except for the day I stepped into the Theater to see Batman Begins

As a somewhat comic book aficionado, I always thought that the one Batman villain who would be worth ever using would be that of Ra’s Al Guel, but over the years and 2-3 horrible sequels that came and went, it appeared that he would never be seen. Then Batman Begins came about and I was presented with one of the best Villains that Batman ever tackled. One who was equally as cunning as Batman himself as well as (shown from the movie) someone who taught Batman much of what he knows. This new generation of Batman was not only Darker, but equalled the comic book hero like none other (sorry Adam West). Nolan took Batman to a level where there was a high degree of realism. Gone were the cheesy effects of science fiction and annoying gut wrenching catch phrases (California’s Governor had the most with his portrayal of Mr. Freeze), we now a movie that screams that this can possibly happen. That someone with this level of power and influence could create a symbol we could all get behind and count on when we are afraid and be able to stand up and come out of the darkness and into the light.

So after the wonderful depiction of Batman, in Batman Begins, I had to wonder how they would top themselves. It was eluded to us that the Joker would be back. This finally answered the question to completion on whether or not these movies had anything to do with the plot of previous monstrosities. Horror came to my mind though, once again, when I found out that it was Heath Ledger who would be playing the Dark Knight’s most worthy of adversary. The thought that came to mind was that of a british buffoon of an actor battling it out with the winged creature of comic book lore, after all, each movie I have seen with Mr. Ledger portrayed the actor as the suave and debonair man of the night who would woo the ladies left and right... there goes my rhyming skills, switched on by accident. When the first trailer came about though, I through all of those fears out the door. What appeared to me was a demoniacal sociopath bent on death and destruction like none other. A Serial Killer who can be seen in plain view but who we cannot stop. The devil himself would be proud of this creation.

Walking into that the theater I tried to keep my hopes and expectations down, after all I have been burned before like that (I’m looking at you Incredible Hulk), but at 1 AM came around and the movie concluded I knew that any sequel beyond this High Ranking feature would have a tall mountain to climb. The Dark Knight echoed everyone’s fears by showing us a real life like bogyman who can sneak up upon us wherever we are and trap us in a snare that will pull us down to hell with him. That is what I saw in the Joker. Behind that dastardly smile lurked no soul. Kudos to the late Heath Ledger for being able to pull this character out from deep within his psyche. I am reminded of the slick sociopath Hannibal Lector when I try to look into the Joker’s eyes. A demon lurking around the corner who could be anyone, not just someone wearing a creepy clown getup.

The rest of the movie tests the strength of a hero who must put his cause aside and try to pass it onto someone more worth who could take the reigns. This movie is a true battle of good versus evil versus good. Lines will be drawn and crossed and drawn again only to be destroyed in a fiery chasm of rage. The one and only item that sticks in my side that I believe could be better is that of Batman’s gruff voice. This reminds me much of the highly acclaimed Batman the Animated Series, in order to disguise his voice and strike terror in his foes. It seems though that between the last movie and this one, his voice has become more gruff and what sounds to be more computer enhanced. Other than that I feel Batman is a hero that I can stand behind as he battles the forces of evil in order to save us from our own demise that we may experience in our nightmares, so that we may rest peacefully at night and dare to dream again.

Jack Tails Magical Meat pies for sale!
Oh my gosh.... sooooooo muuuuucccccchhhh meat!!! if Anyone ever see's me buying more than 16-18 ounces of beef at the store for just myself.... please... pull me out, lock me up, and grill up half of what I buy.... I dont know the full count but with my experience in eating steak, I'd say tonights delight that I cooked up was at least... 25 ounces... maybe more, maybe less (probably not less) yikes... glad that fish did not turn out good, or I would have eaten it and had less room for monster steak... Whats more saddening is the fact that there is MORE steak left! at least a whole 8-10 ounces... and the meat fest begins!

Anyone hungry? It was a delicious steak if I do say so myself, and I do. But after the beer and the beef from previously in the day I think I have gone nuts. 24 fitness will be getting a visit from me again! Hope all is well in the world of my friends and family!

    Take care!

Building a monster of a fun toy.... and its not even perverted... yet hehehe
So I've finally began construction on my behemoth of a computer... at least I hope it still will be despite gas prices taking away my finances... bleh.. Got a decent tower for a GREAT tower and I'm possibly going to get a motherboard and processor after next pay check or two... then I'm just a video card, memory, and power supply from finishing it... teehee... though that shall be a few hundred dollars... so Id say in maybe about 2 months I shall have a base system to play around with, then I might pop in a second video card to just make it rock, that way I will be prepared when Ghostbusters arrives . In looking ahead it would prolly be cheaper just to buy the PS3 or X-box 360 but I think this might be more fun, not to mention I will hopefully learn a lot about what I'm doing. Oh well... We will see. More updates to come!

Be it ever so humble there's no place like.... Las Vegas hmmmm
So I have returned from sin city, the city that never sleeps of the west, the city of lights (more lights than paris ever had) and whatever other name people had for it. In my travels I got to hang out with my Friend's parents for long periods of time and it actually was quite awesome. I've always felt close to him, like a brother, so it makes perfect sense that I feel close to his folks. The 3 of us drove out early friday after my annoying midterm and we were destined to pick their son up later that night. Between that time, we went to happy hour (boy were we happy after that, hehehe) made some bets, won a good deal of money, enough to pay for my portion of the trip (I stopped most gambling at that point), and wasted away again in Jimmy Buffets Margaritavile (though the shaker of salt was right there on the table. We go and pick up Brian and he and I made it back just in time for really late night happy hour, After that we departed for... yes a strip club... we stayed there for a while, just reading the articles of course and we returned back to the hotel. The strip club was all right but it is just a strip club, not a whore house or anything, we didnt stuff dollars down any G-strings.

So the next day we began a long attempt at wining a small fortune at horse racing and a little bit of dog racing. I came pretty close to picking some winners, but since I combined the bets together I did not win. The Kentucky Derby featured a long discussion of whether we should bet the sure thing or go for the long shot... we took bets somewhere in between those, and a few super long shots ( 75 to 1 meant lots of money if they win) We went to the private party for the derby and watched the tragedy unfold as one of the horses was injured to the point they had to put him to sleep. At that point all my cares for the bets we had made went out the door.

After all that was said and done we decided to go hop in the pool and spa for a little bit before my friend's dad's b-day dinner and BeniHaHa's. It was nice to get back in the water for its been a long time since I've been swimming and I felt it was the best thing to do to relax. After Dinner we hung around the casino again and did a little more slot play and then Brian and I decided to go to see a rock n Roll Vampire show that we had been wanting to go see since I was 21... Bite... it was FRIGGAN' awesome and Its not like I dont use theterm Friggan a lot. After the show we called it a night and the next day we made our trips home. Hung out with the girl for awhile and saw the movie 88 minutes, was really good but felt a lot like the show 24 which wasnt so bad to imitate. So now I awake today to write up the weekend. All in All it was a great vacation, one not to forget and I hope I can get back to vegas a lot more often. I did miss being around town but sometimes I just need a change of scenery. Also miss all of my friends and I do hope I can see them very soon! Take care all...

    On the Road again...!
So as I'm heading back on the road again and back to the same town. VEGAS! Going out there for my friends Dad's Birthday. Should be quite fun! Havent seen him for a while and I love hanging with his family. Saw Iron Man tonight with the Girl and a friend of mine and I gotta say that it didnt suck... It didnt suck sooo much that it was just plain fucking awesome!!!! I got to see it at the midnight show which just happened to be at 8PM... weird... So Im going to wait a few days in order to give it a more suitable review, I'd love to see it again. If anyone is reading this and is considering seeing the movie... stay after the credits for a hidden cut scene, though it will only make sense if you know something about the Iron comics, particularly anything dealing with the avengers... though that is all I can say without revealing anything else.

So I must get to bed cause I have a midterm and then gotta get going on the road. I will miss everyone and will hopefully see y'all soon. Take care, will be back on sunday.

    Peace All

Let's Go Surfin Now... Everybody's Learnin' How
Come on a Safari with me... hmmm I guess it would be nice to know how to surf but, oh well, maybe someday. If itd be anything like when I tried to learn to ski, or to snowboard, I shall have to burry that idea. (almost killed myself and the chocolate quik bunny in the process) but I am getting sidetracked. So the two websites are nearly complete and shall but up for visitors very soon. One of them is already up but has a glitch that must be dealt with to the smallest degree of coding... errrrrgggh... anywhoo.... so the girl and I are going to das zoo today... to see all the lions and tigers and frogs... oh my... and what the hell... the movie Down Periscope is on.... thats completely random (the just censored the use of the word penis?!?)... moving on. So as soon as the sites are up I will begin the ritual schalaacking of Google and what not and will prolly make note of them here. Works good... school is going along fine, indigestion is... tolerable. I am kinda biding my time here till the summer blockbusters come up hehehe, first one to come up is Iron Man... w00t!!! Anyways, just thought I would give a bit of an update considering its been a while. But I must take my leave and go see the animals... Take care all!

    Viva Las Spring Break?
So On Saturday I had the glowing notion of wanting to go out of town one one or two of the nights I had to myself for spring break... I thought palm springs, or Santa Barbara, all equidistant from me, give or take about 10 miles. Of course theres also san diego or maybe just stay in town at some hotel. Well as luck would have it, I discovered that it is actually cheaper to stay at a hotel 230 miles away then at a comparable one here in Rancho... WTF?! I didnt know rancho was a place of expensive stays... The breakdown... Colorado River Boat and Harrah's in Laughlin both at or below $30 a night for wed and Thurs., Best western in Rancho, $120 a night... Vegas, on the strip at the Riviera, $56 a night... With Gas at about $40 a tank, I am still coming out cheaper if I were to leave town for my fun... Here is the sad part though. This Idea came to me to late. I only realized about 2 weeks ago that spring break was drastically upon me and in need of me doing something just to say I didnt do what I always do every other week when I am not working or studying and thats watch tv or go on the Interweb... hence my 240 AM LJ post. So getting back to the sad part... This trip shall most likely be on my own, by myself, solo, Departing Rancho at 7PM wed and returing around 3 on friday so I can go to a friends party. I cant seem to find anyone who wants to suddenly drop what they are doing and go to vegas or Laughlin. And I have almost decided to go anyway... these are the best years of my life, why not do something like this. been almost a year since my last major Road Trip and aside from the destination, the drive was completely alone. I think it would still be fun, go for a swim, drink a little bit, maybe go see a show then come back to my life... So Perhaps my next post shall be in vegas, maybe not, I dont know... Ask me about it Wed night. If anyone who reads this wants to go with, all I ask is a lil help with Gas and your entertainment is on you as well, Should be fun and cheap. Take care all, hope to talk to you all later!

    My wish came true grrrrrssss
Long ago I made a wish... A wish about going back in time to a day when we didnt rely heavily on cell phones, where because if you were out people waited pateintly for you to call them back and it was fine if that took a day or so. A time where if you didnt have work and didnt respond to a text message people wouldnt gripe cause texting took time and money (back then it was 5 cents a message) This week that wish came true and I didnt even notice it. My cell phone has been non functioning for almost a whole week. I didnt recieve a single call, text message or voice mail alert. I didnt notice the sudden silence until this after noon when I was told a text message and vmail were left for me 2 days ago by a friend of mine. I promptly check the vmail to find 10 messages, despite 2 bars on the phone. WTF!? I didnt realize how serious it was until I tried contacting sara to see if she had made it home ok only to be told not allowed, same two bars. I had been told the last few days by a few people that my phone goes straight to vmail but this made sense to me cause my house doesnt have the greatest of all signals so I just figured it was because of that. The only reason this didnt peak my rader sooner is cause its finals week and I've been so enamored with getting work done that I havent noticed the lack of a buzzing sound emanating from my pocket. I only hope that there wasnt a super important call trying to come through, but I just use the old adage, if it was important enough to get through they would leave a message ( I think the same thing when a private number calls and doesnt leave a message) So I reset the phone and I systematically receive about 15 text messages from the last week and a vmail alert... WTF!?!?!? and so I do apologize to anyone who did not receive a reply from my lately, I'm sorry, I dont know if its going to happen again but I will at least be a little more alert and will check my voice mail daily, so please, if it is important, leave a voice mail message or if need be, call my house if you got it... So sorry once again, hope all is well in the world. I would have responded tonight but its like after midnight... Take care word, may we live to text another day!

    Hazzah a return to normalcy
So I was peaking in on the news tonight and what do I see as one of the top stories..? World peace, Economy springing forth into a new era of prosperity? Or perhaps Mitt Romney would be leading this country into a world where Bush wasnt a punch line and a president of our country. (sorry that was me getting political again) Nope, the writers strike has ended. Super di duper it has ended. Yes that is sarcasm. I should be happy. I should be ecstatic. But I am not, I am fucking furious. The news network with journalists who should remain unbiased and critical of the world around decides to add opinions to their stories I dont really care too much, in fact I dont really listen to them at all. The few journalists whom I actually admired and respected have past on (Jennings and Fishman) So instead of announcing that the writers would be returning to work, that other employees would be standing up from their beds of unemployment to once again provide for their families and go back to the craft that they enjoy and cherish, the little chiming in of the the reporters on the street... Yay... our beloved shows will soon once again return. No more forced late night comedians, or reality TV shows or god forbid a fucking rerun. Nothing about the writers reaching an agreement that would better suit their abilities and recognize the fact that they are the backbone behind the industry (notice the networks almost at their knees these past 3 months?) Nope... the Oscars will be back and shows will once again resume.

I am glad the reached their agreement but I wish the networks would have seen first hand what this means. It means that rich snobby execs are a dime a dozen.. they are not needed, dont need to pay them 100's of millions of dollars in order to run a studio. Perhaps if they would take a percentage of a pay cut they would be able to reward the writers and the rest of the industry what they deserve. The respect and the payment that would better suit what is needed. As a want to be non professional writer, I hope that what they are receiving is what they want. I am happy that production is resuming on these shows. Too many people were unemployed and even fired because of this strike, because of the greedy producers. Kudos to David Lettermen for being able to see what is needed and what is right and paying his staff what they deserve. With that I happily watched his show and applauded him and his staff for a job well done, both writing and showmanship. I could only be so lucky to find a boss who would realize that the person in the spotlight is not the most important man/woman in the building. Anywho (I write that too many times) take care all. Hope you have a great night... See you all when the fall lineup is anounced.

A Chicken that Barks like a Dog cant get to the other side of the road!
So I found myself hesitantly watching the primary coverage last night.... Hoping that we wouldnt see John McCain as the front runner of the republican party... I'm sorry, I feel that the man is a combination of Bush and Chenny put together and a war that wont end for a hundred years. Sure enough, California failed to see this and gave him their delegates. I have felt I am a conservative for a long time, despite that popularity of being a liberal democrat. I feel this country was doing a lot better during the Reagan office, at least when you compare it to today's administration. Those were the days when a candidate would lead get the country so much behind them that they dont just barely win with a narrow majority, they slaughter the competition because thats who the country wants as their leader. Frankly most of the candidates out there are a joke. The only way a candidate feels they can win is to speak at the moderate level. We will never see a candidate who is far to the left or right... at least not one who will be in the main election. The key to winning is not to seem far better than the other guy but to be so far in the middle that we cant tell the difference between the other candidates and with slight differences we will vote for them

It was a dark day in the GOP when we saw McCain and Romney debating not on the politics at hand, not on the war, budget, immigration, or the gas prices, but who was more liberal/conservative... WTF!? Our first televised presidential debate between nixon and Kennedy was great! (if you listened to it, not watched... t showed that someone who knew what they were talking about could win the debate, but just by merely watching it, instead of listening to what the issues were, people thought JFK one because he looked good compared to the pale black and white nixon.

I voted for Romney because I felt he could bring our country back to where it should be, not give us 4 to 8 more years of Bush-like shit, not to give us a shamed or under-qualified politician. Romney seems to be the right politician in my definition, hence my vote to them. Only time will tell now. We have a few more elections to go to see who gets the nod from both parties. Though at the very least if it was decided today McCain and Clinton would be in the running. Huckabee is just not willing to give in, he is in a distant third and could easily help one candidate by giving over his delegates. I was actually for huckabee till he said he would abolish the income tax and replace it with over 20% sales tax. A large part of my dad's job as a CPA is taxes so if there was no icome taxes, many accountants would soon find themselves with a lot les work and income. McCain I used to support way back in the original Bush election but I have seen that he appears to be somewhat unbalanced, he has a temper, and has been known to punch holes through walls. Granted he is a war hero and I am glad he served our country but I dont know if that and his time and record as a senator will be enough to make a good president, not to mention the fact that he will probably keep the war on (that was bush's idea of continuing his dad's legacy... grrrr) So Yeah, thats my post election blog, I normally leave politics out of these posts but I had the need to get that off my chest. May the best candidate for this country win!
